Recording Books

I'm a student at UCD in Denver Colorado studying pruduction, and I'm wanting to read about music recording techniques but all I've found are books that are way too basic. Im just wondering if anyone would suggest different books and give me reasons why that book is good to read. -- Beau

I think The Mixing Engineer's Handbook is a really good resource, but since I don't know anything about you, I can't say whether or not you'll find it too basic. Follow this link to the reviews and decide for yourself.

I like to read that book when I'm in music stores. The pictures are very helpful, and I love how it interviews a lot of established engineers on their technique and what microphones they use. I'd buy it, but there is always some microphones I get instead haha.
