Recording analog drum machine.

hello guys,

I just got this drum machine called JOMOX JazBase03.
Sounds are pretty fat and similar as TR909 or 808.

Can anyone give me some advice the best way to record these strong-sound analog drum machine and get the great sounds?

I am using Soundcraft Mixer and Mbox to record, and I don't have outboard EQ or compressor...yet...only some software plug-in EQ and compressor.

I assume that the best way is put the outboard compressor but I don't know which is good..

I am looking forward to any advice from anyone. please!
