Does anyone know what that means or how to fix it on a mac?

Thanks

Assuming that is the entire error message you are seeing, I think it's basically saying that ProTools doesn't know where (which hard drive, partition, folder, etc...) to save your audio to.

The first thing I would check would be the "Disk Allocation" which should be listed under the "Setups" menu (depending on which version of ProTools you are running) and make everything there is set correctly.

In Pro Tools, open the Workspace Browser (option ; ). Right next to the "name" tab in the workspace browser, there should be a tab named "A" . Make sure it has an "R" under it for Record and Playback. You most likely have the drive set to Transfer or Playback only.
