Record tab in Sonar4, does not come on, Why?

Hello There, I have Sonar 4 Hme Edition. Basically I just want to record my controller keyboard in real time. I know notes play when I press keys & midi info is being received because the external mixer activity lights & I can hear the notes. I don't know why the record tab option is not available to arm for recording.
My Set up usb Audiophile, Le Triton Controller, Sonar 4, Mackie 1402vlz, windows xp.
I have tried with Echo button on/dimmed. Metronome count in to no count in but I just can't seem to turn the record button on.
Any info would be great.

Hmm.. You do realize that to record the way you are doing requires two separate tracks? One for the midi and one for recording the sound.

Have you armed the tracks you want to record? If you don't do that, sonar will gray out the record button.

I have now solved the problem there was a floating tool bar that needed uploading. I am now able to arm the tracks.
