Hi guys,
I've recently purchased a baby grand piano and I'm looking for a cheap USB preamp to sit next to the piano so I can do some recording when I take my laptop there.
I already have a toneport UX2 upstairs where I do some recording. But now I need a separate one next to the baby grand downstairs. I don't need anything fancy. I just need a cheap USB preamp with phantom power. Any recommendations guys? I've looked at M-audio fast track but it doesn't have phantom power. The pro version does, but it costs about twice as much =S.
I don't care about size since it'll be sitting there most of the time.
Side note: what's an affordable and reliable condenser mic? I currently own a Behringer B-2 Pro that's being used upstairs. The new mic will be primarily used for recording my baby grand and some vocals.
