Recommend budget vocal tracking compressor - £300

For clean, subtle compression, I use the RNC. For vocal color, I use a Joemeek. I use the twinQ like Moresound, but that's a dual channel strip not in your budget. Take a look at the MC2 (actually MC squared). That's just a stereo compressor.-Richie

It never registered to me why one would use any outboard gear while tracking. I stick to in the box processing keeps things more flexible. Unless its of course the 737

Most in-the-box simulation are OK but I just go for the real thing.
