I need one of these. I have an outboard one but Id rather stay in the digital realm if at all possible.

I haven't seen a "good" graphic EQ plugin as yet. However, Jeremy "Jezar" Wakefield (he wrote the code for "Freeverb") is working on just such a beast now.He said he expects to release it in about a month. Here's a link to his page.If you don't already have freeverb, download it there. Also there, check out the well written articles by this respected industry pro. This is where he will post the graphic EQ plug when it is done.

yesI have heard that is a nice pkg but I have most of those other things covered and cant justify paying that much for a complete pkg I wont use.

hmmmm. still looking

Why a graphic of all things? Try the SonicTimeworks free demo of the mastering EQ or the other EQ they have, or try the Waves, both are good parametrics... forget about a graphic!

why becasue i am most acustomed to working with one of those (real outboard versions) when pumping up the kick at mix down. I was jsut hoping there is one.

The eqs you mention. Can they be assigned to individual channels or jsut over the complete final mix. I need it to be assignable.

I have the n-Track Studio software. You can put effects in individual channels, master, auxes and/or groups;so you can decide just where in the signal chain to process the track. Most guys are going to be using parametric EQs on the pc because its use is so much more precise and surgical compared to carving out great 1/3 octave gouges.

yeah that sounds real nice. I am using cubase though and pretty set. From what I have heard n-track is a great program though.

I second tubedude's recommendation of the Sonic Timeworks EQ. I don't think there's a better one on the market.
