Hi,
this is an issue I have since I got the DM3200. I mainly work with Samplitude Pro X (before that I had V.11), and also with Reason 7 (which I recently upgraded from 6.5). OK, so here's the prob:
As soon, as I start up Reason OR Samplitude, I have full access on the transport bar (the DM3200 bar controlling the DAW Transport bar) and the mixer, i.e. I can use the DM 3200 faders to control those of the SAM mixer. Usually after pressing stop for the first time, Samplitude "looses" the DM3200. I can then press play or manipulate any fader without being effective on the DAW. This is also true for Reason.
The only "solution" I got so far: going wild on the DM3200 controlls (repetedly pressing rew, ffwd stop and play), UNTIL I gain control again (usually after a few seconds of fast and repetetive pressing of the buttons on the DM). From then on I can use the program with the DM without further problems.
I don't think it's a matter of setting the mixer up in the DAWs, because the exact same behaviour occurs in two independent programs: Reason and Samplitude.
I also went in touch with Tascam, but - of course - they point out the problem to be an issue of the programs^^
So, I'm asking you: does anyone experience the same problems as described above?
By the way: since there is no other possibility of hooking the dm3200 up with either reason or samplitude, I chose 2x the mackie-preset (as suggested by Tascam).
For all intel on the matter - thank you very much!
kind regards
