Really need help trying to get ACM310 apart!!!

Hi all,

I got to use my ACM-310's on ONE session....recording the local high school choir, etc. and even though I handled them (and everything) with kid gloves, there's something rattling around inside of one...big piece.

I can NOT get the da*& mic open...and I've about stripped the screws. I have a full jewelers set of screwdrivers and absolutely nothing moves....even using pliers to twist the jewelers screws while applying pressure to keep the blade seated in the screw.

Wow is this frustrating....I just want to get the stupid thing open to see what's fallen off and rattling around.

Although we usually think righty-tighty, leftie loosey, in many SDC's you screw the screws inward (to the right) to remove the case. Have you tried this?

But with your suggestion I tried again...hard...and it worked. Thank you, sir. I was afraid to really "go for it" on the opposite direction thing.

Aside from a few marks on screws, the mic is in good shape...there was a loose (extra) tiny screw inside the mic...can't find anyplace missing one, so it's been removed and the mic tests good again.
