BTW - thanks to Mike - mjhamil - bass and Jason - poeticintensity - drums.

Nice song. Sounds great!!! Especially love the tone (and the playing!) on the guitar solo about 2/3 in. What kind of guitar/amp?

J

Gerry,
An excellent song, terrific performance & I thought that once you'd put real drums on this it couldn't get any better - lo & behold - mastering has given it an extra spark.
Well done & congrats.
Good job MJH & PI!
I'll expect an album soon!
Oh, if you don't mind me asking, is this one of those free sample jobbies or is it a bought one!

Thanks J - the guitar is an Eric Clapton Strat with Lace Sensors. Amp is a Marshall JCM900.

Thanks Ray - I got the bug when I heard Joe's song. This was a paid - for one. I'm doing a few over the next little while. I played the before and then the after in the truck and Steph said something to the affect that "it sounds better with real drums" ...(huh?). Guess it brought the drums out a bit ;-)...

A good tune allround. Nice g. playing and tone, great expressive vox, and drums that hold their own. I thnik the ending is a little anti-climactic. My only nit.

Sounds great Gerry!
Everything sweetly balanced, all frequencies in their place, nice full sound.
Nice work and Jan did a great job once more!

Nice full sound for a 3 piece.

Reminds me of Clapton.

Kind of odd cymbal at 3:28

Overall sound is pro to me.

yeah Clapton...I was trying to think who it was it was reminding me off...

Great job by all, this sounds really sweet and much better for Jans finalising, I wouldnt imagine you could take this much further, sound very polished all round

Sweet Stuff Ido, congrats.

I have nothing to add to this except I really like it :)

Big dog sound, nice separation in instruments I enjoyed listening to it all the way through. Congrats to ya.

I'm really impressed - sounds like a great testament to what it's possible to achieve with a home setup and some mastering. The mix is beautifully balanced and as mentioned earlier, there's a lovely tone to the guitar lead (definitely echoes of Cream in its sound). Enjoyed it

Dude.... I've listened to this twice, and both times, I'm just kind of sitting here thinking to myself, "Is that really my snare??" It sounds much more full and more present than it ever has before in anything I've ever played. Wow.

Yeah... This sounds great. I really like the sound of the snare and toms. Kick sounds more defined, too.

The one thing I don't think I like is the cymbals. They sound quite harsh. Easy trade for that killer snare sound, though. I'm really interested how in the world it got to sounding that way.

Thanks M.O, KRoad, joeym, Tobe, Manslick, kcearl, Nakatira, Lenoh, robgreen, poeticintensity....

No idea - trade secrets I'm sure :D !

Oh yeah ... G. The sonics on this are spot on. There's nothing to say except everything sounds great.

Performances are flawless, and the material is solid. This could have been found on any earlier Clapton album and fit right in.
