Can sombody pleeeeeeeeeeeease tell me how to convert Real Audio files to ANYTHING BUT REAL AUDIO. Ive downloaded tons of Real Audio files but I hate having to logg on to the internet and go to the Real Audio site which takes forever....THANKS GUYS...

First and foremost what version do you have realplayer or realjukebox? One will just play and the other you can convert files to .wav or burn to a cd. Real player is just that a player and won't convert anything just play or stream music off the net. Real Jukebox will burn and or convert to .wav. This converter says it will change to .wav that is probably the best you can do if you just have the basic realplayer but it is a beta and .wav files are 10 or more times the original file size ie 1mb file is 10 mb's when uncompressed. http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Realaudio-to-Wav_Recorder/
I see they still have not gotten rid of that nagging wanting to connect to the internet when you dld a file. Some here use winamp or musicmatch or something that is an MP3 file player or ripper. Check the web for a realaudio convertor mabey there is something else out there.

I have Real Player ...however i also have Music Match and windows media but somhow most files end up being opened with Real Player is there a way i can change which program opens which files?....thanks for your help.....

Yes there is two ways to do it first open real player and find settings or options then find the file association menu it will say something like realplayer is the default player for these files ect ect. Uncheck all the boxes if you don't want it to play auto you will see files like ra, raw, mpu, mp3 so on. If you like musicmatch better then open it and go to settings and it has a box that says something of the same and check the boxes that will make mmJ the one that opens when you play a music file Window's media player has it to. Also there is a box in realplayer that says get file info or something to that extent and also in mmj if you don't want it to try to get the artist name or album title you will also find that where the file types are uncheck that box and it won't try to find that info when you put a new file on your computer. The other way is to go to microsoft and check out there search for file association there is another way to do it manually but it is a little harder to do
