I just did a comparison of my MC 012 and my MK-319. I've had the 319 for a while and although it sounded ok I've always thought it should have a warmer sound than it does based on posts I've read.
The test simply consisted of Leaving the setting exactly the same on everything and swaping the mic's at the input.
The MC 012 was much warmer and much hotter to the extent I'm almost in shock. My guess is that I may have gotten a bad MK-319 and a good MC 012. If I ever get a chance to try some different MK-319's maybe I'll be able to figure it out. This sort of confirms what I've been hearing about buying from the Sound Room rather than GC.
