I think the general consensus is that the Realistic™ microphone is the best for rap vocals

What's your vocal tone? Are you looking for something dark sounding? Bright?

An MXL V67G is a fairly dark sounding mic for around $100 that might be just what you're looking for.

Studio Projects B1 is a good workhorse mic that sounds good on a lot of different sources.

CAD M177 is a nice neutral mic that will sound very close to the original source.

All of these are in the $100 price range.

None of them are the 'best', but are good for a budget.

Yao the best rap vicals for the mic is MXL 991 son! On erythang i love cuz! Dont mistake it for 990 because thats a whole different mike yo .

I've never tried mine for that maybe I should it being the best for rap and all. ;p
