Sorry I m posting so much on this thread, been away for awhile and feel kinda responsible for it getting started(sorry to all the Ramones haters out there  )I retracked the guitars for my cover of "Beat On The Brat"after getting some good critiques...no more lead guitar squeals or fills, maybe a bit more true to the original, although I think its a bit more Motorhead than Ramones sounding...for what it's worth...here is the remixed version I came up with:

Beat On The Brat-Remix

One of my favorite Ramones tune...nice job, pretty true to the original!
You bet, man! This thread was opened in tribute to your thread. All my covers are straight, tribute style. I'd like to produce something new, too, but we'll see. TBA/TBD. I'm not sure if my most recent mix is ready for primetime, but it's only recent if you consider February recent. Heh. I think I'm wearing out the tape, just proofing it! Thanx again! Jam On!!

variaxman's Soundclick page is one of my most favorite stops for great covers!! Check it NOW!
I wouldn't just say that. ;)

Is it a cover if I change the words?
That would be called a parody. I suppose a Ramones parody would be fair game on this thread. Thanx.;)

Very true to the Ramones. I like it. Very stripped down. Sweet.

This version 2 is nothing short of brilliant!

I didn't detect any revisions from the version 1, but I'm pretty sedated, myself.;) Your rendition of this song has left me feeling sedated, for sure. ;)

Stupid web host is still down

Edit: OK, it's finally up  Had to go direct to FTP access, I don't like to do that because I am incompetent, but the nice web-based front end tool hasn't worked for eight hours now

Same link as before:

I'm gonna do Sedated this weekend, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. In the meantime I won't be listening to others.

Both of those sounded damn fine, Mr. Reel Person. Very agressive playing, really fits the Ramones vibe.....
