Not Just Anutha Brutha
Scenario: Vocalist to Rode NT1 mic to Art pre
to mic-in on channel strip 1 on Alesis 32.
Problem: Whenever I boost the trim,I'm picking up radio freaquencies thru my monitors. I have re-positioned the power lines on my outboard gear, computers so that they do not cross.I have done the same with all my other cords and lines and still the same.Mind you, it's only happening on channel 1. Please help. Thanks!

My correction was WAY off on this one :) so I'll just edit this to make it look like I'm not such a dumbass. Read the next message, I bet the answer will be there...

Hey, from your description you're going through TWO mic pres: The Art and the Alesis. Shouldn't you go line-in on the Alesis since you already have a mic pre in the signal path. All that gain is probably adding to the noise.

Damn pglewis! right on the button! I removed
the Art from channel 1 and went direct to Alesis and noise was gone.Duh! Learn sumthin' new everyday! Thanks!

I make lucky guesses, sometimes :D. If you want the "color" of the Art instead, go from the line-out of the Art to the line-in on the Alesis (instead of the mic-in). Or, if you don't need the mixer at all, you can go from the Art straight to your recorder. The Art is likely to be noiser that the Alesis pres, but if you play with the gain you should be able to get something reasonable.
