Yeah, they did the same to me. Didn't leave a comment either. I gave you some pos karma.

What a pud, I don't see anywhere on this thread where anyone said anything out of the way.

If you are at all savy with tools you could pick-up some 2 or 3 space rack ears that screw on to a piece of gear and mount them to this case. (example, I have a Samson Servo120 that didn't come standard with rack ears, but I have a set of one space ears that just screw on to the sides of the amp) I'll see if I can locate a retail version of the rack ears I'm talking about.

There are better cases to mount than this one. This one wasn't designed for cooling while in a rack.

Noone said that that case was made for rack use. Though if you leave a space or two at the top, and maybe even include a rack fan around that area, there will be ample airflow unless you are overclocking like a madman, and even then I doubt there would be much difference. The whole point of even posting that link was to show someone that there were options outside of the "manufactured" realm. Just because it doesn't come stock, doesn't mean you can't modify it to suit your needs, and in this case, as long as air flow is present, it doesn't much matter where it comes from. If he wanted to bring air from the back and route it out the top of that case then more power to him. If he wanted to cut a hole in the front for a few 40mm fans, more power to him. If he wanted to not even put the top of the case on, wonderful.

Maybe he wants to go with a water cooling system? Who knows.....

It's a desktop, of course it's not made for rack use. MY point is that if you're looking for something to mount, get a case made for the rack.

again, the whole point was missed....

If you needed a flat head screw driver you wouldn't go out and buy a phillips head and grind it down to a flathead... you'd buy the tool suited to the purpose.

It's great to find creative ways to modify existing equipment to suit your needs... but if your going to purchase new... it usually cost less in the long run to just buy what you need...

Your post implied purchasing a desktop case and modifying it for a rack... Joe's point was to just purchase the rack case...

You too missed the point, I would suggest going back and reading before I even posted. Right around the part where the guy asked for suggestions on a shallow rack case. As he and I are both in agreement that finding a rack mount case that is less than 20+ inches deep is pretty tough, and if you can find one, they cost more than a small car. I merely posted an option for him, which is apparently wrong, so sorry to offend the Squares.

I just gave you some +rep recently else I'd give you some more. I don't think anything here has been bad enough to give -rep over, well, minus the whole me calling them a twat thing lol
