Rack Advice Needed

So I'm going away to college this fall and I want to take my studio with me. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to do that. Instead, I have a 6 space rack case that I was thinking about using. I already have a Presonus Firepod and an Alesis 3630 compressor. What else should I throw in there. I was thinking maybe an equalizer or a decent rack-mountable pre-amp (unfortunately my DMP3 doesn't fit in a rack). Tell me what you think. Thanks!

it's pretty much just going to be live bands and myself. and i'll be running the firepod to a macbook.

Microphone/s, Direct Box/s, Preamps and souncard, macbook.

leave all that other crap out of it. Just my two cents.

I've switched in the past couple years from, analog, to analog/DAW hybrid to straight DAW. Mics/DI and preamps are the only thing my signal sees outside the box.
