I didnt say I didnt like it.I just said it wasnt a hit or as high quality as "some" of the others on the board. You just got used as an example since super-dick posted that statement in your thread.Sorry man.:(

Your tune and recording is really good.Better than what I have been able to achieve but you understand where my comments were coming from.

That's cool mate, I'm not easily offended. And I understand why you were saying it hence the ;)

Really nice, vocal sounds great, left guitar should be quieter, very Coldplay, harmonies would be nice. :)

Great stuff.

just to say

Just getting around to this. Yeah, DEFINITELY Cold Play, but so what. I liked this a ton, actually.

About the Autotune artifacts - they don't bug me, but if you can ditch them, your life will be easier. :D However, I suspect that part of the reason you got such a rave review from the "super critic" was BECAUSE of the Autotune, but that's a whole other long sordid tale about trolls and setting people up and really has nothing to do with the song, which I like a lot.

I think this is the first full recording you've posted? I was expecting blues for some reason. At any rate, cool stuff.

Here ya go fprod. This one was recorded in a bit of a rush and has some mistakes and "autotune" artifacts, but It's kinda grown on me. Oh and it's also a bit too "coldplay" probably.

Hope you like,

Cheers,

Ian.............

I'm curious. Does it sound really rude without the autotune?

Great stuff. I really like the intimate sound of the band. I would have liked the the theme continued on to the second rythm guitar (panned right), but the verb sounded good.

The center panned lead didn't really add much that wasn't already there, and sounded weak in a few places like it was forgotten in the mix. I don't think the tune needs it.

Great song, the three piece sound at the start just blew me away.

Not awful but there are off parts, He only did 1 take immediately after making up the lyrics as we were very limited for time (he had 24hrs before he flew to Australia) the onther tune (above) has no autotune so that is what he normally sings like.

Cheers,

Ian.............

Ian,
I thought it was a really clean and spacious recording, very nice. Good song especially if thrown together that quickly. Your singer has a really good voice. Had to fly down and keep the penal colony in line eh?

yep

I'm gonna say a keeper.
It's cool to here other accents(sp?)not that that's the only reason I like it. I'm a sucker for a good love song.
Thanks for posting.

Wow... sparkly-clear tracking. Yeah... coldplay freaky stylin'

The clean guitar tone is a bit strange (in the opener verse)... but the doubled clean guitar sounds good. (getting super picky, due to the quality here)...

Good emotion and lyrical content... Song gets bigger at the right moment! Your song bears a distant similarity to a song called "To Whom It May Concern" by a band who shall not be named :D (the chorus major/minor change...)

Drums sound excellent... Mix is right up there...

Are those handclaps after the vocals cut out? Are they intentional? (Every few seconds or so... don't seem to be going w/the rhythm)...

Very good job. Could use some backing "ohhhhhh... waaahhhhhh...." by a manly tenor/baritone chorus in the second or third verses ;) (& some echo FX on the BG vox that match the time signature, etc...)
