Quick question

I have a quick question, not sure if this is the right section, couldn't find another.. So I have a studio, I recently built a new computer, I have a M-box 2, a Presonus studio channel, etc. everything was working fine until the other day.. I opened up pro tools to try to record and whenever I turn my mic on, I randomly started getting a noise. Now it is not my settings, I've attempted to change my M-box and compressor. I bought a new compressor and soundcard, and also tried 3 different computers. I then figured it could be my Mic, but the problem occurs everytime I plug the mic wire into the M-box and try to record. I've attempted to try new wires.. No luck.. I've contacted guitar center and also had someone come out and look at my equipment.. I have no clue what it could be.. And neither do they, I've also tried Fl studio. Same problem occurs.. So it's not a problem with my Program. If anyone can be of any help I'd appreciate it. And if you need any more information I can go more into detail
 
Your information is kind of unclear. Did you try different mikes? Did you try different mike cables (that's what I believe I read)? Did you try different patch cables? Can you bypass or replace the Studio Channel and get the same results? Just a few questions off the top of the head.
 
A few more questions from me.

What type of mike?

What does the noise sound like? Is it intermittent or continuous? Is it crackly or a hum?

What is your exact signal path. i.e. how are you getting from, mike to computer?

I have a AKG C214 as mic, and also I've switched the wires, tried new sound cards, etc. and it is a continuous humming sound. And also I use A usb from my computer to my sound card. I also use a power supply so it couldn't be a grounding issue just tossing that in there. The sound only occurs when I active the mic on my recording program. Even when the mic is not connected and I just connect the mic wire to my M box mini sound card it still occurs, I have switched the M box with a brand new one and the problem still occurs. so I figured it could be my computer. But I've attempted it on 3 computers and running different versions of pro tools, and Fl studio. I've checked my computer settings everything is normal as usual

I have not tried different Mics because the sound occurs with just the mic cable plugged in.. And I have tried different brand new wires. And I have tried to bypass or replace studio channel. Same result.. It's something I've never experienced and everywhere local that deals with studio equipment can't seem to give me answers. The weird part is.. I eliminated the compressor, and central station and just tried to connect the mic directly to my M box sound card and even a brand new sound card, and I've also tried 3 computers running different software but still occurs.

Does it make a difference if phantom power is on or off?

When you speak of the compressor are you referring to the Presonus channel strip or a separate compressor?

When connecting the Presonus are you using a 1/4" TRS cable to the line in of the M-Box 2?

It gets louder, when I touch the metal part on the XLR, the sound is lower when the phantom power is off. And I'm using an XLR wire from the Presonus to the M-Box 2 and I use the presonus as my compressor. And I have a monster power supply, which grounds the line. And everything I plug in goes to that.
 
It'd be easier to help if you posted a clip of how the noise sounds.
