Hi guys,

I satisfied my own curiosity today by mic'ing up my amp and experimenting with mic positions; on/off axis, on/off centre etc. SM57 into a 1 x 12" open back.

I also video taped the positions changes as they happened and wondered if I posted the outcome here if people would be expecting to hear a dry output, or with a touch of reverb?

Cheers,
FM

No

:D
No- as it applies to tone for someone else, in a different place.
But actually, simply recording a close shot with the mic going from center cone to edge while someone played would say' (and show :)) it.
That would on the other hand pretty much do the whole learning moment' part of it.
:) So why not.
