Does anyone knows which amp. radiohead used in the studio to record In Rainbows? I know Jonny Greenwood usually uses either a voxac30 or a fender twin for live performance...but does anyone know what he used for In Rainbows int he studio?

...of course, just to be clear, I'm talking about guitar amps...

Behringer?

Kidding. I'm only doing what you've probably already done and googling, but I haven't found anything anywhere that says he's used anything but an AC30 and a Fender Eighty Five (for distorted tones...). The man does like a pedal, though....

I like the pedals too, so my amp. doesn't have to have effects....(just a good reverb and maybe a little distortion on the amp itself will do----I have like 12-15 effects pedals as it is). I just really would like to figure out the exact amp he used in the studio for In Rainbows because it sounds phenomenal.

You know it's not so much the amp as how it was miced up and how many mics and how many combined tracks per song.
There is a lot more that goes on behind closed doors than meets the eye <ear> ;)

And with a lot of pedals you have to watch out for excessive noise build up. :(

Well, really, it's all about the talent and creativeness of the artist....Radiohead guys have said many time they can't stand equipment geeks and could use shitty equipment and get a pretty similar sound....... but still, be that as it may, I must know what amp they used on In Rainbows.

I'm trying not to buy an AC30 at the moment. I have the money, and have always wanted one, but I already own a Laney 30W tube which is allegedly similar in sound... and then there's the fact that I hardly play electric guitar any more...

But damn... I still want one...

Then I'll call Jonny tonight and ask.

Same here! I've got the 30 but hardly use it at all. :(
