i've been making beats with sampling for a while, and now i feel like i need to step my game up. I want to buy a midi keyboard controller, and its important that this plugs into my computer, and can use in ACID 4.0. and i really have no idea what to look for in getting one...are there any suggestions of what brand and model i should get? i've been saving up for a while and my price range is between $200-$300. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

U want knobs, faders, ect? Ne keyboard with MIDI will work with that software. Do you want it to use MIDI ports or USB? Check out the Emu and M-Audio controllers along with others.

i just got the M-audio keystation 49e it was only $70 when i got it(refurb) normally $100 it doesnt have any of the bells and whistles that most midi/usb boards have...... i think id personally go for the radium series either 49 or 61 mainly because i like m-audio gear..... also in your price range is the oxygen, axiom, and Korg microKontrol.... the last two have built in pads for taping out drums which are a plus, but their also at the top end of your price range

i'm new to all this, so don't laugh...but do these midi keyboard controllers have instrument voices or am i thinking about something else? haha sorry for the dumb question
