I'm confused Jimbo, (that's fairly normal for me :)) For some reason I thought you were in San Francisco. That's a wee bit further to the right than West Java...

Indonesia'a not very far at all from the top end of Australia, but I live about two-thirds the way down the LH side of Australia. If you look on a decent map you should be able to see me waving :D

...Yup. You won't believe how jobs spreaded my family across the world!!

My Mother : Netherland (Architech).
Father : Yaman (Architech).
Big brother, me & two little brothers & sisters : Indonesia. (different cities)
One of my little brother : Finland (study for master degree).
Two of little brothers : San Francisco. (US citizens).
One of my uncle is in Melbourne.
Once or twice in a year, we gather in either places.
All of us live just fine. Not being broken ;)

My parents and my sister live in the UK. My wife has a brother in Florida, a sister in Chicago, the youngest sister in the UK, a sister in Vancouver, a brother in the UK, a sister in Wales (yes, that's the UK as well). My wife's parents and the rest of the family (13 children in total) live in Eire and Northern Ireland. You should see our Christmas Card list! :D

I have two children, both living part-time at home and we're now down to one cat.

Ster Trekking Across The Universe

"Captain Kirk!"
"Yes Lt Uhuru, what is it?"
"There's a mesage coming through. It's in some kind of code..."
"OK, let's hear it..."

[Darth Vader voice]
Aussie received your ping.
Old Submarine 3 has been ported in the South Coast.
Missile launched and hit the target

"What do you make of that Spock?"
"Well Jim, it's too cryptic for me. There's only one man who can help us now, His Excellency Jaymz of the planet Argo!"

LOL!!!! :D

But I don't think Sonar is awfull for MIDI-work. Just "3" does it in another way, James! It's not hard at all to use Sonar... ;)

Looks like "3" is making one hell of a comeback!! If I'm deciphering the cryptic mumbo jumbo correctly (and I think I am) !!!

Does anyone else here use their Cakewalk version of choice as a MIDI loop recorder? I figured this out, but it might be old news. You set up a track, maybe a bass track, set the now time at 1, set the thru time at 1:2, open piano roll, enable loop play, and start sticking notes in there while it plays back. You can hear your changes in real time. When you're satisfied with your creation, set the thru time to 1:4 and keep going. When you're done, click off the piano roll view and you have one measure of bass guitar without ever touching the 'record' button. Works great on drum tracks, too. I'm no guru, but I think this is a good thing, and it might even be in the manual, so if it is, don't kick the crap out of me!! This works in Sonar as well as some 'older' versions as well!!! C-ya

I just copied it over to there. Now I'll get killed for double-posting!!! I'm really treading on eggshells here !! Neat little trick, though, huh?

...And now back to Star Trek

The Chief Engineer known as Scottie enters the bridge...
"Captain Kirk"
"Yes Scottie, what is it?"
"The Enterprise is a Starship Type 3..."
"Yes Scottie, what's your point."
"Well Captain, don't they need the Creative Hyper Drive?"
"And what's ours Scottie???"
"Well Captain we have the Terratec Hyper Drive."
"Isn't it possible to route the DXi interface through the Type 3?"
"Captain, you'll have to ask His Exellency Jaymz of the Planet Argo. But I don't think she'll take it..."

(Fade to another commercial break)
