Hi. As some of you may know, I have a Korg D16. And I'm not overly thrilled with its mic pre's (they get pretty friggin noisy, when put louder than -40dBV).
Anyway, I was wondering if a Audiobuddy or a DMP-3 would make a BIG difference? And which would be the next step from there? I'm only considering the Joemeek VC1Q and the MindPrint En-Voice as a 1 channel do-it-all-channelstrip to add to the Audiobuddy/DMP-3.
I'm not going for the Grace 101, since
a)it's (almost) not available in Europe
b) it doesn't have eq & a compressor.
So please tell me your findings.
I mostly record myself on electric guitar and bass. In the nearby future I will add acoustic guitar and vocals. Drums I do with a Boss DR 670. My music is mainly 70's-80's (hard)rock/metal oriented. And some occasional surf and funk.
