question about phantom power

Hey there,
I have 24v phantom power on my board. I can run a stereo pair of Rode nt5's with that power, no problem. However, i also have a dynamic blue ball that requires 48v phantom power and can't be powered by the board. I have an external 48v power supply for that.

My question is: can I run phantom power (at 24v) to the input channels to power the Rodes, and plug the blue ball mic in using the external phantom of 48v? Is that going to be too much power for the blue ball? could it cause damage?

thanks,

Jeff
