First of all, I mostly do IVR's and on-hold systems. I record the talent with SF-6, then convert the files to whatever format the client needs using Vox Studio 3. I always record at 44.1- 16 Bit mono. Here is what the client has asked for: "Also note that when the OA Server converts the wav file it can only
work in the frequency range of 300HZ to 3000HZ. Any frequencies below or
above this range will introduce a hissing sound or other undesirable
noises." So my question is, can I notch out those frequencies above and below what he has requested?

Thanks,

JonnyD

You should be able to use the paragraphic eq in sound forge to get the job done. Just enable the low and high shelves, set them to the desired frequencies, and cut them all the way.
