Sorry if that is the wrong name for this mic. But I bought it off a guy second hand and don't really know anything about it.

I suppose the most obvious question is - How do I get it to work? I plug it in to an amp and it dosnt pick anything up. Anyone know why? Is it broken?

It needs phantom power for sure. And what are you plugging it into?

The SE300B isn't really a microphone. It is the transformerless body of a microphone, designed to work with interchangeable capsules designated CK91,92,93, etc. The body requires 9-52v of phantom power. It is the basic body of the AKG "blue line", and it is a very good mic body. The first question is- do you have a capsule on that sucker, and if so, which one? Secondly, it is a low impedence mic, and it isn't going to work jacked into an amp, unless it's a microphone preamp or a mixer with phantom power.- Richie
