Don't even know if I spelled it right

BUT here we go
yesterday I went over to a friend's house a real pro-Cubaze guy and he showed me a feature called quantisize

exactly what I needed to give my sonar midi drum's a more human feel as it tends to shift the timing and tossle the velocity a bit of each note ...

is this feature also available in sonar , or are there other shortcuts to give a more human feel to my crappy computerized drumtracks ?

Thats quan-tize and yes Sonar has it. You will find all the info on it and how to use it in the help file.

well If that works OK

I can prob uninstall cubase SX :)

Ev'rything Cubase does, Sonar does better
Sonar does ev'ry thing better than that...

ALL COOL KIDS USE SONAR!

or you could try to search the official websites for their demo version ?

DOH

beats the hell out of selling your a** :)

Ronin, it's just that most people running two sequensers don't use the demo-versions (if you get my drift)... ;)

didnt say I used them both ....

I dont consider "fuckin around" with them as using ...

for god sake I'm a 'guitar player how much can I know about midi :)
the only reason I actually bothered to download cubase is that I couldnt get the amplitube thing running on sonar..
:)
and of cource the fact that my friend convinced me to give it a try ..

so that's exactly what I'm doing :)

gosh

fulltime working as a ict'er and still not knowing there is another metod of testing SW without double clicking install.exe or setup.exe

Don't take it so hard, ronin :) Some people here is just being sick of warez / crack / ilegal software user :) We sometime curious if someone using two or more different softwares. Just tell us you got them legally (or demo version) and we'll help you out :)

and as for the question, yes. Once you have sequenced MIDI track, you can select the track, click Process --> Groove Quantize. You'll be given plenty options to choose. Play around with it until you happy.

Just making an observation.

I always find it curious when I see a post (and I've seen many) that go, "I'm 13 years old and I have Sonar, Cubase, Cool Edit Pro, and Nuendo. I don't know how to use any of them yet, but which do you think is best?"

If your stuff is legal, cool. I also started out by downloading the (then) Pro Audio 9, SAW, and Cubase demo's. I found the inability to Save did not allow me to really get a feel for the software, so I held my nose and closed my eyes and picked PA9. In the end, it was a good choice, since All the Cool Kids Use Sonar!!!

Well 've got a casio CT670 on loan from a friend

and the second I get some of what I play on thos back and white keys pops up in my sequencer I'm a happy man :)

but rest assured I'm not 13 and I dont have a lot of expensive sequencers I'm jyst a 27jear old guitar player (at rest) trying to get back in the game :)

You shouldn't call it "get back in the game" on that age, ronin. Paul does on his age now... :D :D :D

Welcome back to the game, ronin :)

dunno who you're all talking about ...
but I think I catch the drift :)

anyway

I think I kinda fucked up here quantise is a feature to ""correct" the errors in live recorded midi right

I tried to use groove quantise yesterday but didnt actually hear difference in volume of the hihats / snares for example

I think in cubase my friend had a humanize feature .. is that available in sonar , or is that avialable via the groove quantise feature ?
or do you need to do some scripting to do this ..
like here http://www.svpworld.com/cakewalk_cal/working_with_cal.asp
or are there good plugins for that ?
