quality help!

hey im currently like a little manager thing for a upcoming new rapper hes alright at spittn but were wondernig how we can fix this quality problem

we have an alesis mixer a samson mic and acoustica mixcraft

Sounds like you have a problem with sibilance. I believe thats what you are refering to, I assume you would like a solution on the cheap, I know this sounds stupid but using things in your desk drawer may help, if not than u will have to invest in some other equipment to minimize this occurance. Try using a rubberband and putting a wooden pencil vertically in front of the mic right down the center of the mic, that will help deflect some of the frequencies causing this> I am assuming that is that u are using a side address condenser microphone that is. It has worked in the past, try that first before you spend money! hope that helps :o
