Ok... I've been reading, and reading, AND READING! And I'm learning, so it's not all wasted. Anyway... I understand what compressers are, eq's, effects and the like. I know what my mixers purpose is, and that I'm using a hard disk for my data. Now... I just don't understand how it all comes together. For instance does it go (just one of my questions):
Guitar -> EQ's, Effects, all stuff on the rack -> Mixer -> Computer?
if so...
Do I then mix with the computer? Mixer? What?
Another question I have is once I get my system up and running and knowing how everything works and where it plugs, how am I going to record alone? I'm going to have to run to my mixer, back to guitar, check eq's effects, etc. start the software to record, play guitar, run back and stop... am I right, or is it any easier?
