I just uploaded my new version for anyone who's listened to mine. It's at the same link as the old one above.
 
I've listened to a few other mixes, and I think that somehow mine got slowed down. It's weird, did I do something, or is it supposed to be slower?
-I got it, the wavs are at 24/48 and I was working in 24/44.1. I converted and it seems to be up to speed. I'll repost the right verson to the same link.

ah...hell nik! Thanks! Mine sounds like yours. I thought everyone was pitch shifting theirs or something at first. Then I realized these were at 48!!!!!!!!!!! UGH! I feel stupid. I should have checked it out first. When I created an empty file in Nuendo it automatically did a 44.1 for me. Okay, i'm going to fix this and repost.

I figured it was your song so I just thought you would do it...but a poll could work as well. Whatever you all have done before. This is my first mix competition here. But I guess it should be as un-biased as possible too.

And...i fixed my song. took me awhile though 'cause for some reason when I resampled in Nuendo it didn't resample the guitar file and didn't move the automation at all...so I had to remix the whole thing. I could have done better, but it's late and I'm tired. Next time I should probably pay attention to what sample rate we're mixing at (my bad!). My equipment is an old 750mHz pc with n-track and cool edit 2000. I'm using M-audio SP-8B monitors and a Delta44 soundcard. That's pretty much it.

how can people deal with 750mhz computer for recording?
i mean this mix has what....over 10 tracks?
i have a celeron 2.4 (soon to be 3.4 MUAHAA) and when i tried puttin in the wav files in my software...my CPU is already at like 30%
it may not seem like much...but its pissing me off.
i dont no maybe its just me :cool:

MAybe hees loaded up with RAM? Sometimes you just get used to slow ass computers. They can usually handle a lot.... that is if you can handle waiting. haha

Seems like everyone is still going for the straight-forward mix :) I'm gonna try to completely change the style of the song, while still retaining the origional energy and feel.
