Public Mix Contest #12!!!!!!!!!!!!

exactly...this kind of stuff just makes the contest drag on.
The submitters want their results. The forum members want to start the next competition. And the judges have to set aside time to rank everyone's mix. The due date has been set for awhile and people are just now getting their mixes in?

I'm not sure this is the case...

Few clips have been submitted late on my site. I did just add several clips because the person never sent an Email to me for whatever reason, but the clips were posted here for some time. My understanding is we just pulled them together.

but the ones you pulled off this thread...were they ones that said "Here is my final mix" ?
i'm trying to re-download them now and a couple of the links don't work.

my understanding was people were supposed to e-mail/PM you with their links. You had stated that several times to people in this thread.
 
as far as I know, I have all of the entries... but I have only received two Emails from the last set that I posted (refer to Post #653) verifying the Clip is correct.

I thought posting the clips at one location woud be easy... that's why I offered to manage it. but for some reason half the people ignored my request.

I see 26 entries there. Are those them all? Are we accepting more alterations and new entries or shall I make an executive decision that the contest is over and just start judging?

I already have had a little listen and have like and disliked aspects of each mix ... but I have an idea of whose are a step above. With this in mind I'm going to rename each track when I download it, make a matrix of the codes to the real names and do it 'blind' like that. :)

it sucks though, 'cause I thought I had already picked my winner.

It's amazing how poeple can't just follow simple instructions.

For the next one, it should definitely be noted in the first post that the results must be submitted to whoever for them to count. If it's not done by the deadline... too bad. I understand that some people don't get the chance to browse the forum daily like a lot of us.. but if you want to enter in a contest, you have to put some effort forth to have it work out. The judges have to take a bit of time out of their schedule to do this, too.

Hopefully everything gets figured out. :)

It dosent even classify in my head as editing anymore i guess.

Benny, Mshil, and Rshp...are you guys done with the results???

Guys, sorry to jack around at this late stage but, as I told Finster, family stuff has come up and I can't be sure when I'll actually get it all done.

I will wait till the results are announced and then maybe sneak out my personal favs, but the full and proper judging was just not possible for me to do with other shit happening.

Well done for all your amazing efforts though, there were some corkers in there and some really cool ideas and takes on the song!! :)

My scores are done, but I'm still working on the critiques I promised. I'd like to wait to give you the scores until I'm done with those (I've got a LOT already written). But I won't be in the studio to listen all weekend because of Thanksgiving. I hope to be done early next week if that's okay. :cool:
