Have you heard the Alesis m1 actives? they are the same price and sound pretty damm good...pretty good reviews for them too.

tony,

Did you end up buying the PS5's?
I was looking at those and was wondering how they were.

Take a look at my website -

I'm in LOVE with the PS-5s!
Great little monitors...
Getting great mixes...
Not fatigueing...

Affordable and a great size to boot...

Buy, buy, buy!

Great website.

Now all I need is some money....

What you need is a wife who feels very strongly about receiving anniversary gifts every year. I just realized I'll be able to get almost anything I want up to a limit - this year its $500.

But, then there's that conversation we have about the time I spend on my audio/computer hobbies. Add new baby too.

Well, no more wasting time with TV viewing.

I need to decide whether to get Event's PS5, or Alesis' M1.

Well have not used either for anything really, but from my past experiances, and other peoples reviews i'd go for the PS5's.

GET THE PS-5'S. I HAVE THEM AND I LOVE THEM TO DEATH. AND I HAVE BEEN IN STUDIOS THAT HAVE THE ALESIS MI ACTIVES.....I CANT STNAD THEM..THEY ARE SO MUFFLED AND DISTORTED,I CANT EVER GET A MIX IM SATISFIED WITH USING THEM.I WILL STAND BY THE PS-5 ANY DAY.

If you can afford throwing a little more money at it, go for the PS6... very smooth and more bottom end than the 5s...

I've been comparing prices on these, and zzounds seems to be best, especially for the PS6 - $459. the PS5s are $399 and the Alessis M1 Actives are $499.

I too am interested in the PS6's and ZZounds has the best price at $459 a pair. HOWEVER, they are out-of-stock and do not expect them for 6 to 8 weeks. The last time I waited for an out-of-stock item it took them twice as long to get it as expected. Here's your alternative: I found that Music 123 (http://www.music123.com) HAS THEM in stock and will match the $459 price and throw in free shipping. Yahoo! Try 'em.
