Protools - punch-in footswitch problem

Here is my set up

Mbox Pro interface
Pro Tools LE8 8.0.3

On the back of my Mbox Pro there is a foot switch input jack. In the direction manual it says to use that jack for punch in and out switch that I need to go into the "setup" menu then choose "Hardware". There I am suppose to be able to pick what I want my foot switch to do.

When i do that and click on "Hardware" nothing happens. It just goes back to the regular editing page that I was on before.

Any ideas? Yes the foot switch is plugged in and yes it is the correct type.

I'm not at PT right now, but I'll take a look in the morning, ok?
Maybe someone will be along before then.

Sorry, I can't find any information about footswitches in Pro Tools.
I'm on PT9 though, and my 828 doesn't have a footswitch jack (I don't think). Maybe that's why.

Have you tried googling within Avid DUC?

Either way, clicking hardware>setup should at least bring up some window, whether it has footswitch options or not.

Thanks for checking. Yes, it is weird when I click on Setup-Hardward menu nothing comes up. after I click on Hardware nothing happens.
