Protools Pluggins

Hey,

I am using digi 001 and have just upgraded from protools 5.1 LE to 6.1 LE. Only thing is my pluggins don't work anymore and I have tons of them. Does anyone know where I get pluggins for protools 6.1 LE or updates?

Dont the companies you bought the plug-ins from offer some version support for your new software?
6.1 le is pretty typical stuff, seems like just about any company making RTAS would help your dillema.

They should work, so maybe a quick re-install or even reboot can do the trick?

I tried the reboot but that didn't work either. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that too does not work. Does anyone know were I can get some pluggins. They were given to me by a friend so if anyone could help me out, that would be great!!

Good luck, bro. It's usually considered better form to ask for help on stuff that you actually paid for. Not a lot of fans of software piracy here.
 
I apologize my friend, but I am not looking for anyone to give them to me for free. I was simply looking for some type of direction in getting them to work. I would be more than happy to purchase new ones, but I just don't want the ones I have now to be a total waste.
 
How much did it cost to upgrade? What OS are you using? Thinking of upgrading myself


And you would need to update your plug-ins with the company your friend purchased from. They would be happy to upgrade you if you had paid for them. Not rubbing it in, but almost any company will hang up on you if you say you got their product used...
 
Acutally the upgrade was free. I was using MAS O 9.2 and Protools LE 5.1

When I purchased my Mac, I was also given a copy of OS X 10.1, I installed it and then upgraded it online (www.apple.com) to OS X 10.2.8

I called digidesin and they sent me a copy of protools LE 6.0. I installed it and then upgraded it online also to 6.1

The only thing is, my pluggins that used to work with LE 5.1 no longer works, which is where I am at right now. I will upgrading to OS X 10.3 soon then upgrading my protools to LE 6.4
 
I am running on pc and I heard that I would have to pay for an upgrade, but now I'll have to ask

anything past version 5 will only work with the digi 002. That may be your problem. Where did you get the upgrade?

I got it from digidesign.com because I was told to do so when I called them (digidesign)
 
there ya go john...looks like he was able to do get it upgraded from 5.1. Just gotta call Digi to get it! :cool:
 
Yeah, they sent it to me when i told them that I was planning on using OS X...
