protools LE with MOTU hardware

hey guys,
Got a quick and possibly stupid question, but does anyone know if protools LE software will work with MOTU hardware without having one of the digidesign interfaces/PCI cards. I have MOTU interfaces and PCI card and wanted to work in conjuction with a friend that uses the 001 interface.

No. You can transfer tracks back and forth using the analog outputs and inputs, or the ADAT optical outs and ins, depending on which MOTU box you have, but Pro Tools only runs on Digidesign hardware. However, you can probably work in the same audio apps, as long as they both support ASIO...
