Budding Rock Star!
Hi All,

Newbie here trying to decide which version of Pro Tools M-Powered to get. I have an M-Audio Firewire 1814 interface and am in the process of buying protools and came across the Academic version (I am a part-time student) which comes in a bit cheaper.. Can anyone advise on the differences between the academic and standard versions please?

thanks,
Aidan..

My wife bought the acedemic version, and it works. I don't care for it myself, as I use Sonar, but it seems to be fine, and have everything you need....just not alot of plugs. She got it from Acedemic Supertstore, I believe for $150.

i've heard that you don't have the same upgrade options with academic versions. i may be wrong though

Got this back from M-audio..
