Here is Prong's most popular song covered by myself, and my friend Mitch on bass. I am looking for comments on everything from performance, mix, comparisons to the original. WHatever...just kinda want to see what others think. I handled drums, guitars, keyboards, and vocals...and my bud Mitch slapped the bass on. I took care of the mixing duties as well. One dumbass comment is it??? I am really hoping for some comments on what could take this mix to the next level. I normally wouldn't bump my own post but what the hell. Anybody out there???

Im on headphones but it's sounding great to me...maybe the vocals up just a little, or guitars down slightly...(or take a bit of the vocal effect off)...hard to tell on these phones


guitars are great...really liked them..don't know the original song but this is cool and great performance


and the notebook sucks but hells kitchen's cool ;)
 
Thanks, those are the type of comments i am looking for. I am chilled, but come on my movie preference doe not belong in a mix critique post. Anywho...thanks for the listen.

It sounds just right to me....guitars from Hell, love 'em. What's your recording chain there? Very well sung too (don't know the original....), I dig your voice. Bass gives a good bottom, drums thump just right. Great listen, made me feel like breaking something!

Whoa man, this was pretty potent sounding :)!

I don't know the original at all but this sounds awesome to me. The whole kick/bass region is really powerful sounding.

I am by no means an expert on anything, let alone this kind of music, but it sounds like you nailed it. I like the vocal effects and really loved the guitar tone. I too am now all geared up to break something or punch someone in the eye :p:D.

Hey thanks for the listen guys. I was hoping for some good feedback.

JoeyM...the guitars are my Mesa Boogie Triple Rectumfryer threw an SM57 off axis into Logic with monster cables and a little EQing in the box. Works well for me. I love my guitar tones. Thanks for the comments.

Kcearl...even though your opinion of "The Notebook" is way off base (wink wink) i appreciate your comments on the mix. Didn't mean to drive you to drinking.

Heatmiser...thanks for the comments. Looks like i have evoked some violent tendencies in everyone...BADASS!!!
