problems with noise

Hi You guys. First excuse any spelling and grammar mistakes that might occure in my replies as im not a native english speaker.

I bought this behringer B2 Pro microphone a few days ago for my rap project im working on .
I also have a behringer xenyx802 mixing console. For the sound card im using a creative audigy SE.

what is my problem ... : i cant get that desired transparency ... i get this subtle ... but present and annoying ground noise on my voice.
Is this normal ? Ca someone provide a solution ... or if someone could point to a nice noise reduction VST plug-in ... i would be more than gratefull i dont think its such a big problem... just that i dont know what to do

No, it's not normal. But there are three things in the chain that I'd be concerned about -- The mic, the preamp and the interface.

Okay, okay -- Especially the interface.

...by interface you mean the sound card ? If thats it, what do you recommend ... my budget is not too 'generous' .
I think the sound card is the bug as i took the master out jack from th emixer and plugged it on my other computer that uses a realtek AC97 on board card ... and surprise ... the noise is almost gone so ...

I'm wondering if the mic could be the problem. It might hum if it was damaged during shipping. Do you still get the hum when you unplug the mic? Turn the gain down on the mic channel? Can you try another mic? Do you have phantom power turned on?

Could the noise be your room. Condensor mics will pick up your computer fans, a/c fan, flourescent lights, the snoring neighbor, etc.

The mixer. Try another channel Use control room or another output to the sound card. Be sure your levels are right.

When all this seems okay, then it's probably your soundcard. You can get decent 2-channel interface units starting around $100USD.

sounds like a cabling issue moreso than actual recording problem, but then again, i have no example to base my answer from.....

gotta agree with john... it all need's to go away... but start with the sound card... Soundblathers are really intended for gamers... almost any interface would be better... i'm using tascam at present and recommend them highly... they just came out with a multi input (18 with the spdif) for seems like next to nuthin...

You might also want to check the electrical grounding too.
