This problem seems to go both ways for me. I have ACID Pro 4.0b (latest build) and SONAR 2.1. My Cakewalk DX plug-ins show up in ACID, but won't load and my Sonic Foundry DX plug-ins show up in Sonar, and don't load either. Is this just the way it is, or is there something I could do to be able to use them cross-platform? Thanks.

Which (more) specifically plugins are doing this? I've never had a problem with using DX-effects in different programs (except my Sonic Foundry effects won't be processed as realtime-effects).

Nearly all of them that I have tried. I'll have to check it out when I'm home tonight for the specific ones. There was maybe like 3 Sonic Foundry plugs that I have got to work in Sonar (the rest result in an audio drop out message). I tried probably like 5 or 6 cakewalk effects in Acid and none of them would load. I'll try the whole lot of them tonight and post specifics and what exactly the error messages state.

I might add that I don't have problems with any other 3rd party DX effect in either Sonar or Acid. I own 4 from Ohmforce, all the Blue Line Plugs, Anwida Reverb and a few others and they all work fine in both apps.

Alright, I've been doing some playing around and I've at least come up with a work around.

I was also getting the "soundcard does not support stereo" message because I'm using a SBLive!, so I switched to the MME drivers for the time being, and suddenly my Cake effects work in Acid and my Sonic Foundry effects work in Sonar now. Go figure.
