Problem with Line6 UX2 and Behringer C1 mic

I bought some starter's home recording gear years ago and I recorded one song with it. I remember the phantom power produced a loud buzz but somehow I managed to record a song anyway. Now that I've plugged everything back in, I just can't figure it out.

I'm using the Line6 UX2 on my laptop. I have a Behringer C1 attached that requires the phantom power. However, when I turn on the phantom power, an extremely loud buzz/beep is produced. Those things that show the volume on the UX2, sorry, I don't know the English word for them, move all the way to the right even before I've started talking or singing into my mic. It's impossible to record anything this way. Does anybody recognize this problem? I don't know what to do :(

well I have a old UX2 and for starters I would ask if everythigns ok without the mic in.
does it play audio, etc..

then you have 2 XLR inputs, do they both buzz? that might be the microphone. is the Phantom power LED lighting up, maybe the charge needs to be completed, if it needs a charge some do. try another mic is also something easy to check with.

You also have to have your Gearbox/PodFarm software running.
On the Left Side, to select which "Source Select" you want to listen too, the gearbox/podfarm lets you choose Mic 1, Mic 2, Line In, Instrument...etc... You also determine what you are going to monitor in the drop down below..INput, Send 12, Send 34, Output etc..

Hey... this is weird... the UX2 doesn't play audio at all (anymore). It also produces a beep as soon as I start my internet browser. Strange! It used to work fine! (And yes, in my Windows sound settings the UX2 is set for output)
I found out that the extreme beep/buzz is added once I start POD Farm. I think something's really wrong here. I tried both on my laptop and my PC, same problems.

By the way, I don't recognize the image you attached. What software is that..?

Gearbox , preceded Pod Farm. I like the look better than Pod Farm and went back to it.

You tried a different USB cable? changed USB port?

Checked your device manager?
my computer> device manager> under audio it should see the Line 6

another thing to try real quick is the Windows mixer. Recording and Playback should be set to the Line 6.

you should be able to play basic audio..what kind of speakers you have?

Did you go through Line 6 Monkey and have it automatically check all your drivers?
I would do that right away, it usually helps.
