Hey, I'm somewhat new to Cubase but used N-Track for a while and so I've tested this in both. I'm trying to port over tracks from a 4track onto my computer(one at a time) to play with in Cubase invidually. I'm trying to start with the drums. The first song that I've been trying to do this with is 2 minutes long and I have it all hooked into the computer just playing the drums etc, hit record, everythings working then BAM at like 1:10 or so everytime the sound stops being recorded despite playback.
It does it in N-Track and Cubase so its clearly something wrong with my computer I'm guessing. But this is driving me insane, I can't figure it ouw what it is at all and haven't worked enough with computer recording to figure it out. My setup:
win2k
cubase
ntrack
athlon tbird 1ghz
256mb ram
soundblaster live value
30gb hard drive
tascam 4 track
The latency on the sound blaster is about 27ms but its not a big deal since I'm just trying to port already recorded stuff over and sync it up later, not while recording etc etc.
But could the ASIO drivers be pushing it too hard or something?
Can anyone help figure out what it does this? Thanks!!
