Hello,

I'm new here so I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i figured cubase thread would do.

I have recently reset my Windows 7 64-bits PC because it was full of junk.

I re-installed the same Cubase 5 as i had before. Hooked up my M-audio oxygen 61 midi controller which worked after using the m-audio direct link thing before the reset.
And everything works fine, the slidders, the panners the track switch buttons... But not the actual keyboard keys used for actually making the sounds from your vst's.

Now i know the keyboard is fine.. because when i open something like pianoteq it works like a charm.
When i hit a key it even shows there is midi activity in the little control bar. It just wont make a sound.

Please help this problem is driving me up the f***ing wall.

Yeah those are fine. just like they where before the reset.

Try taking a nice look at how the vsti's are set. In and out of the instrument channel its important to keep looking too.
Also, remember that usb midi keys are seen as a normal midi driver, just like the midi coming from your audio interface. So take a clear look at the preferences and verify that the default (and active) midi driver is the one from your keyboard.

Also, if you have the time take a look at my issue too haha
