Problem with ADAT Black Face Recorder

Hi All,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me with a problem I have been experiencing with my adat recorder.

The problem is this:
When I have been using the recorder for about 3/4 of an hour the unit goes off. If I then press the power button the unit briefly turns on but goes off again. I repeat this process about three times and the unit eventually stays on. However after a short time the same process needs repeating.

I think it may be a power supply problem but to date I have not been able to obtain a circuit diagram.

Has anyone had this problem before or can anyone provide info on what might solve the problem.

Hi, there was a thread on here about the blackface power supply recently.
It may have something to do with problem.

Thanks for the info.

I changed the capacitor in question but this did not cure the fault.

I have since found a company specialising in ADAT repairs so sent the PSU to them.

Do you think it is overheating and thats why it is shutting down?
