Problem recording electric guitar with interface

No I don't have another USB cable that fits my interface..

Go and get one, then. Normally audio interfaces use the old printer cables.

Okay so, I found a printer usb cable and I plugged it in and still nothing..

Now test that USB port with something other than your interface.

Post screen shots of you setup windows in Garageband. Let's make sure everything is setup correctly.

Be aware that you may have to select your audio interface in BOTH the GarageBand preferences AND in Mac System Preferences > sound. I noticed that in your second screenshot the GB recording level was at zero. That slider correlates with the slider shown in Mac System Preferences.

Yeah I selected my audio interface in both my GarageBand and Mac system preferences. And I've tried moving the slider but it won't move..

Everything works fine now, it just turns out I downloaded the wrong driver for my interface. Thanks for your help guys
