Problem! M Box Pro 2

Hi. I have an M Box Pro 2. I have been having problems with it since i got it. Every so often it loses the connection between my laptop and the m box, this cuts out all sound from the computer, this can be quite a problem when recording. When it does this the green led, by the power symbol in the left hand side of the box, starts to flash.

Does anybody know what is causing this? Any solutions?

Check your system logs, assuming you're running an OS that actually logs stuff, and see if you are getting bus resets. If so, try replacing the cable. I've seen those sorts of errors with FireWire devices, and I'd imagine USB does the same thing. Beyond that, if you're on a PC, USB often sucks because motherboard vendors cut corners and share an IRQ between the built-in USB controller and various high-latency legacy I/O devices or video cards or.... If you're in that situation, try changing the IRQ steering to force the USB controller onto its own IRQ. If you aren't able to do that, try adding a USB card (OHCI, not UHCI).

Id say a good thing to do is check out the manual for troubleshooting. Most the time they are good about putting in causes for common problems and sometimes not so common problems.
