I have an mbox, and I got Pro Tools 6.4 le, however I've noticed there are no forums for the ProTools software so being my first post I decided to be a huge newb and ask a problem I've been having with it.

I get the Error #-5000, when it's loading, it happens three or four times during the loading process. I'm wondering what the error was caused by.

And the other question is when I create a new session and I click okay or save as it says, it has a little window that says 'session must be on an audio record volume' and I can't create my session. I'm a nerd so I thought I could figure it out, but I'm a total newb with this new stuff.

Thanks, and I know these questions are easy for you veterans to answer (I think).

O yeah and I'm on a MAC

here's a few answers to your first question...it could be any number of these:
http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=28848
http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=27054
http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=27397

always look at the Digi answerbase if you get errors like that
second question....never heard of that one but looking at the Digi site it looks like usually it pops up when trying to enforce Mac/PC compatibility. Check to see if that box is checked when you are creating the new session and if so uncheck it (or check it if it isn't). That's just an idea.
However, I'm also guessing it may have to do with your first question. It appears this error is related to that the first link I gave you too in that the drive has to be marked as read and write. Are you trying to save the session on your system drive? This is a no-no if you are. You need to get a separate audio drive and save them on there. This may be what PT is trying to tell you by saying "I don't want to save a session on the system drive!"
Try that and see. Also, come to the PT forum if you have more questions and we'll be glad to answer them:

Good luck

...

Well regarding the second half of your statement, I put all the properties on PT on read and write and I'm only saving information to one hard drive. So what should I do?

you got me there...i've never heard of that issue. i'd say try and fresh install and if that doesn't work give a call up to Digi. that's what technical support is there for
