Pro Tools Help

I was planning on buying a Mackie Onyx mixer and the Eleven Rack.

To use the Mackie mixer I have to use Pro Tools M-Powered, to use the eleven rack, I have to use Pro Tools LE. So I have a problem. I love the mixer and the eleven rack. I don't know what to do?

Could someone give me some ideas on how I can use them both with a certain Pro Tools version or?

I did find this that someone said to where I can use the Mackie mixer and the Eleven Rack with the M-Powered version of Pro Tools, would this actually work, good?

Although the Eleven Rack cannot be used as a USB audio interface for Pro Tools M-Powered, it can still be integrated into a Pro Tools M-Powered system as a remote-controlled processing system and guitar preamp. You'll need to connect the Eleven Rack's inputs/outputs to available inputs/outputs on your M-Audio interface; and with a USB connection you can use the Eleven Rack Control window in Pro Tools (8.0.1 and higher) to control Eleven Rack and manage Rigs.

I think you just could use the M-powered and use the 11rack on that. But I don't think you could use more interfaces at once anyway. It's a lot of switching, and the Mackie as well with m-powered driver.
 
U can't connect 2 devices and get more ins. It won't work like that.
 
No, sorry.. Thought that it was obvious that Eleven Rack worked with M-powered.. But somewhere in my learning of PT I must have missed something, since it's not possible. Except for use the 11rack trough another interface.. :eek:
 
So if the 11r doesn't work with m-powered, I guess I have to plug my in and outputs into my mackie mixer.
 
I'd pass on the eleven rack. I was not impressed by it's sound at all amplitube on the other hand sounds a whole lot better and you don't have to worry about having 2 interfaces.
 
But does PT and the mixer have any guitar 'sounds', i think their called amps or models? idk lol.

difference sounds. like if i want heavy distortion, or clean. etc.
 
the eleven rack is an amp modular as well as ampitube and guitar rig4. there are many more then those but in my opinion from comparing those three gtr rig and amplitube are far better then eleven. To me the eleven rack modulation sounds completely digital (cheap and cheesy). As where gtr rig and amplitube don't have a complete digital sound to them.
