Hi y'all. I've finally got Pro tools LE 8 up and running on my new MacBook Pro and am sending my audio via firewire to a Glyph drive. What a gorgeous setup - and I'm only scratching the surface of the capabilities of Pro Tools. Everything is running so smoothly that this is my fear: since I just bought the Mac, I was able to recently buy a Snow Leopard OS X upgrade for $10. I have the upgrade disc sitting on my desk, but I'm half petrified that upgrading the OS will somehow fark up my Pro Tools system. Apple claims the "simple" upgrade will clear more disk space, run faster, do my dishes, etc etc AND leave my installed apps untouched and fully functioning. I've heard BS like that from Microsuck in the past and was caused enormous grief by being gullible enough to believe them. Are my fears ungrounded? For example, it took me a while to get my MacBook to recognize the Glyph drive, which it finally and consistently does. Should I leave well enough alone? Or try this OS upgrade? Thoughts? Experiences? Concerns? Any tidbits of wisdom would be welcomed from anyone - esp anyone with Snow Leopard experience.
Thanks
Rudi
