I wanted to know whats new in pro tools 8.0.3. Its worth it to download it or its better to continue with pt 8?

If you download it, it should have a readme PDF (or it might need to be downloaded separately - you'll find it in the same place though) which will tell you what they've done.

Chances are that it'll be for better, so go for it. I just download em without knowing what they've fixed.

I'm just waiting for a fix for beat detective. Whatever they did with it in PT8 is beyond me.

I use PT in Windows 7 and let me take this opportunity to express how incredibly freaking happy I was with the 8.0.3 update!

If you had problems with PT.. getting H/W Buffer Size errors all the time (no matter how I set the Playback Engine and such, I would get these errors).. you NEED this update. I literally have NO problems whatsoever anymore. I don't know what they did, but ever since I've had PT at all (from XP to Vista and now 7) I've had issues with these errors.

Now, NOTHING! It's like I'm in heaven. I can record with no problem at all.

IF you're using a Macbook and an 003 AND you want to do audio stuff outside PTLE it terribly sucks A$$! if you are only doing PT stuff get it...

I have a MacBook Pro 2.53 and the 003 and I cannot get the Core Audio to function correctly... neither itunes or reason 4 work. I have to open PTLE and rewire it.. unecessary.
